How the Competition Will be Judged

For more information on this, please visit our FAQ's section..

Household electricity consumption will be measured where possible using real time display monitors kindly provided by GreenHouse sponsor CurrentCost.

We will then calculate the percentage change (hopefully a reduction!) in electricity consumption for each community. The community that has the biggest reduction in its electricity use will win that section of GreenHouse.

Challenges will be won by communities, based on the collective efforts of all the households in that country. Winning one of the monthly challenges will earn points and collective percentage reductions in electricity consumption will win further points. The community with the highest overall score will be the winner.
